About the role#
Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers is hiring a Scheduling Intern for the summer of 2027. This role involves planning and scheduling activities for large construction projects. You will work on projects from the estimate phase through to completion, analyzing and monitoring progress to help drive successful project outcomes.
What you'll do#
- Develop resource loaded schedules, including major milestones, critical approvals, and long lead procurement items.
- Maintain schedule logic, constraints, activity durations, and resource allocation.
- Provide analysis regarding project delays and potential impacts.
- Assist with internal controls, including status reporting and process implementation.
- Apply engineering, procurement, and construction terminology to maintain critical path logic networks.
- Collaborate with project teams, field personnel, and clients to meet deadlines.
- Attend regular project meetings and provide statistical reports.
- Offer assistance for project control problems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program for Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both as a team player and independently.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to ethics, integrity, and safety.
- Reliable attendance and the ability to work productively to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends if required.
