About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in Commercial Banking within the Salt Lake City market. You will work alongside senior bankers and analysts to learn the fundamentals of credit and lending. The program runs from May 26, 2027, to August 6, 2027, and focuses on supporting relationship management teams through data analysis, system maintenance, and project work.
What you'll do#
- Analyze commercial loan requests, including reviewing financial statement spreads and calculating key financial ratios.
- Evaluate the business and financial integrity of borrowers.
- Ensure the accuracy of credit system data and maintain proper portfolio assignments.
- Collect financial statements from clients to monitor performance.
- Track pipeline activities within Salesforce.
- Complete a Capstone Project that incorporates credit analysis, business analytics, and client-facing deliverables.
- Support the daily objectives of the relationship management teams.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least two years of a four-year undergraduate degree program.
- Anticipated graduation date in or before May 2028.
- A minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.3.
- Coursework in finance, accounting, economics, or data science.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong quantitative, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work well in teams and show leadership.
- A strong work ethic and professional conduct.
