About the role#
As a Procurement Strategy Co-op, you will join the team in Frisco, Texas, to support key initiatives in supplier risk management, communications, learning and development, and small business engagement. You will work on projects that impact the business, collaborate with leadership, and gain experience in a cross-functional environment. This role includes mentorship, professional development training, and the opportunity to present a project to department leadership.
What you'll do#
- Research supplier risk management practices and help develop a risk management framework.
- Identify, categorize, and document supplier risks while building tracking tools and dashboards.
- Support supplier segmentation and risk prioritization efforts.
- Create process documentation, training materials, and user guides.
- Analyze data from risk monitoring tools and prepare summary reports for leadership.
- Assist with Procurement Academy by coordinating learning events, tracking metrics, and managing content libraries.
- Develop newsletters, SharePoint content, and presentations to support internal communication campaigns.
- Support small business reporting, data analysis, and supplier outreach initiatives.
- Coordinate stakeholder meetings and document actions, decisions, and next steps.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a full-time undergraduate program from an accredited college or university.
- Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Business, Procurement, Operations, Communications, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter and collaborate cross-functionally.
