About the role#
We are looking for a motivated Engineering Co-op Student to join our Stormwater team for a term beginning in January 2027. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to sustainable stormwater planning and design. You will work on projects involving hydrologic and hydraulic impact assessments, green infrastructure, and other approaches that support watershed health. You will receive direct guidance from experienced teammates in an employee-owned firm.
What you'll do#
- Assist with design tasks, including calculations, technical report writing, and cost estimates.
- Prepare and implement technical databases and computer-based hydrologic and hydraulic models.
- Perform data collection, organization, analysis, and management.
- Sketch or prepare design details for drawings.
- Support field monitoring of project construction sites.
- Conduct field site visits for the inventory, review, and assessment of infrastructure.
- Document tasks and present results.
What you'll need#
- Current enrolment in a Bachelor of Science or Applied Science in Civil Engineering program.
- A positive and motivated personality.
- Proficiency with the MS Office suite.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- A clean Driver’s Abstract and a willingness to travel.
- Physical ability to conduct field visits in all weather conditions on uneven terrain.
- Experience with ArcGIS or other GIS software is preferred.
- A passion for building a career in water and municipal infrastructure.
