About the role#
Kennedy Jenks is hiring a Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 program in Pasadena. You will join our team to support project work in water resources, water quality, and wastewater treatment. This role offers exposure to projects across the United States and includes mentorship, professional development, and networking opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Apply your engineering skills to project calculations and technical reports.
- Prepare design plans and specifications for water and wastewater systems.
- Document pre-construction site conditions.
- Manage ongoing project tasks and communicate with team members and clients.
- Attend and contribute to client meetings.
- Visit project sites to support field work.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or a related engineering field.
- Completion of at least junior year (third-year) standing in an accredited engineering program is required.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Pasadena, California.
- The role is full-time for the Summer 2027 term.
- We use a hybrid work model requiring a minimum of two days per week in the office.
- This is a paid internship. Compensation is $20 to $25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Interns receive $15 per month for cell phone costs, access to our 401(k) plan, and accrued paid sick time.
