About the role#
Kennedy Jenks is seeking a Construction Management Intern for our 2027 Kickstart Internship Program in Seattle. This role supports project teams working on water resources, water quality, and wastewater treatment projects. You will gain hands-on experience through field work and technical documentation while receiving mentorship from our professionals.
What you'll do#
- Perform field work including verifying existing conditions and confirming as-built information.
- Document field activities through written summaries and photographs.
- Prepare technical reports and perform calculations.
- Assist in the preparation and interpretation of design plans and specifications.
- Coordinate project communications between contractors, owners, and engineers.
- Attend project meetings and distribute agendas and minutes.
- Interact with clients, designers, inspectors, and local authorities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Completion of at least two years of study.
- Experience with GIS or CAD is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Seattle, Washington.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship.
- Compensation: The pay rate is $21.00 to $26.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Benefits: Interns receive $15 per month for cell phone costs, access to a 401(k) plan, and accrual of paid sick time.
