About the role#
Kennedy Jenks is seeking a Construction Management Intern for our 2027 Kickstart Internship Program in Phoenix. You will work with project teams that provide solutions for water resources, wastewater, and industrial sector clients. This is a full-time, on-site role for the summer of 2027. You will receive mentorship and advising throughout the program.
What you'll do#
- Participate in field work, including field verification of existing conditions and documenting findings through written and photographic summaries.
- Prepare technical reports and calculations.
- Assist with the preparation and interpretation of project plans and specifications.
- Monitor project communications between contractors, owners, and engineers.
- Attend construction meetings, develop agendas, and distribute meeting minutes.
- Compile project documentation.
- Interact with clients, designers, inspectors, and local authorities to support project activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program for Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Completion of at least two years of qualified study.
- Experience with GIS or CAD is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Phoenix, Arizona.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Compensation: $21.00 to $26.00 per hour.
- Benefits: Includes $15 per month for cell phone costs, participation in the 401(k) plan, and accrued paid sick time.
