About the role#
We are looking for an Estimator Intern to assist with the preconstruction process for our plumbing projects. You will work on commercial and industrial construction bids, ensuring accuracy in our estimates and project documentation. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Phoenix, Arizona.
What you'll do#
- Perform detailed take-offs to gather material and labor quantities.
- Review specification books to identify piping material, fixtures, and insulation requirements.
- Prepare and send requests for information (RFIs) to general contractors.
- Build project estimates using our internal software system.
- Participate in scope review meetings alongside the lead estimator and project management team.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree in construction or business management is preferred.
- Entry-level experience in a construction field.
- Basic understanding of the construction process and the ability to read construction drawings.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with software such as BlueBeam, BuilderTrend, BuildOps, or Procore.
