About the role#
We are looking for an Avionics Systems/Test Engineering Intern to join our team for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on the design, analysis, testing, and integration of avionics for our high-power satellite platforms. This role involves hands-on work with avionics interfacing, harnessing, instrumentation, RF components, and GNC actuators.
What you'll do#
- Serve as a Responsible Engineer for avionics system design, performance, hardware, and test.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to capture requirements, lead design trades, and build avionics test systems.
- Create and update technical documentation, including schematics, interface control documents, and test reports.
- Design, build, and program automated test stands for avionics hardware.
- Execute avionics component and system testing on flight hardware through development, acceptance, and integration phases.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- At least 6 months of technical engineering experience gained outside of the university classroom, such as through research, extracurricular projects, or prior internships.
- Ability to commit to a minimum 12-week internship.
