About the role#
This is a 10-week paid internship based in East Taunton, Massachusetts. You will work alongside the Safety Manager to support safety operations across the organization. This role involves both office-based tasks and opportunities to visit retail locations throughout New England.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Safety Operations Team in re-imagining the J-Team Safety Experience.
- Lead an independent project to drive safety initiatives across the company.
- Create and edit video training aids for safety processes and hazard mitigation.
- Gain practical experience with OSHA compliance and state safety programs.
- Support safety meetings to reinforce safe work practices.
- Partner with operations staff to integrate safety into daily routines.
- Research industry trends and best practices.
- Use systems including Pulpstream, SharePoint, and Velocity SDS management portals.
What you'll need#
- Rising college junior or senior status pursuing a degree in Operations, Management, or Occupational Health and Safety.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
- Proactive and self-motivated approach to new challenges.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
