About the role#
Johnsonville is looking for a Marketing Communications intern for the Summer 2027 term. This position is based at our global headquarters in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin. You will support our social media and digital teams by planning and creating content for our family of brands. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role that offers hands-on experience in digital storytelling and brand strategy.
What you'll do#
- Support the planning, creation, and execution of social content across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, YouTube, and Pinterest.
- Manage real-time community engagement to ensure interactions remain helpful and on-brand.
- Maintain and organize brand content calendars to keep posting schedules on track.
- Write engaging, conversational, and humorous social copy.
- Create short-form video content, including concepting, shooting, and editing.
- Identify social, cultural, and digital trends to inspire new content.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Communications team on various campaigns.
- Track social media and digital marketing performance to help inform future content.
- Assist with content updates for company websites and customer e-commerce pages.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field. Junior or senior status is preferred.
- A 3.5 minimum GPA is strongly preferred.
- Deep engagement with social media and internet culture, including a strong grasp of platforms, trends, and online communities.
- Comfort creating video content, including shooting, editing, and appearing on camera. Experience with tools like CapCut, Canva, or Adobe is a plus.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to create natural and humorous copy.
- Ability to spot trends and cultural moments to create content opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Prior work experience is preferred, as is a portfolio of social, writing, or creative work.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
