About the role#
This Co-op role is based in Wilson, North Carolina, and supports the development of a new large molecule drug substance manufacturing site. You will work with the process engineering team, project engineers, and external vendors to gain hands-on experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing. This position offers exposure to project management and maintenance processes.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and execute documentation for equipment operation and maintenance.
- Assist in developing maintenance plans for equipment inspection and testing.
- Participate in the testing and troubleshooting of systems that support production processes.
- Document processes and create standard operating procedures.
- Implement tools to measure, track, and improve standards compliance.
- Support project managers by coordinating and tracking project activities.
- Handle administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings and organizing files.
- Communicate with internal teams and external vendors as needed.
- Demonstrate an understanding of maintenance systems for utilities and production.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an A.A.S. or B.S. in Industrial Systems Technology or a related field.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of maintenance systems and tools.
- Mechanical aptitude and interest in industrial equipment maintenance.
- Experience in a cGMP environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of equipment such as bioreactors, chromatography, and tangential flow filtration is preferred.
