About the role#
This position is part of the Student Program at John Deere, designed for students who work alongside their academic studies year-round. You will join the team at the Des Moines Works facility in Ankeny, Iowa. This is an on-site role that requires daily commuting to the office.
What you'll do#
- Learn to identify, analyze, and apply information to support business processes and strategic plans.
- Participate in training sessions and developmental assignments to build professional experience.
- Assist management in identifying operational issues and proposing resolutions.
- Complete work activities according to project plans and established schedules.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student at a local accredited university with a graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
- Ability to work 10-20 hours per week during the academic year and 30-40 hours per week during the summer.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Understanding of business functions.
- Experience with Creo and Python is preferred.
- Freshman, sophomore, and junior students are preferred, though seniors and those pursuing advanced degrees may apply.
