About the role#
This is a part-time student position at the John Deere Harvester Works facility in East Moline, Illinois. You will work year-round alongside the factory engineering team to support daily operations and special projects. This role is on-site and requires daily commuting.
What you'll do#
- Investigate issues related to products and processes and suggest changes based on your observations.
- Help implement the solutions you and the team develop.
- Provide analysis to help solve line side issues quickly and accurately.
- Assist the factory engineering team with special projects as directed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at a U.S. accredited college or university.
- A planned graduation date of July 2028 or later.
- Completion of coursework in engineering or science-related topics.
- Availability to work 16-20 hours per week during the academic year and 30-40 hours per week during the summer.
- Pursuit of a degree in Mechanical, Computer, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
