About the role#
JE Dunn Construction offers internship opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry. This role provides routine support for project management, estimating, safety, and accounting functions. Interns work directly with project teams to learn how company objectives are met through daily operations.
What you'll do#
- Monitor crew size, self-perform hours, materials, quantity, and equipment usage.
- Provide regular progress updates and reports to the project team.
- Conduct job site observations alongside project leadership.
- Support project close-out tasks, including punchlists, operations and maintenance manuals, and as-built drawings.
- Participate in all aspects of the project-specific safety plan and culture.
- Support vendor and trade partner pricing, bid solicitation, and coordination.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited Bachelor's degree program or higher.
- Completed coursework relevant to the internship area.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to be flexible.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Majors considered include Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, and Architecture.

- This is an on-site role based in Austin, Texas.
- The position is paid and full-time.
