About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) within a manufacturing environment. You will support process improvement initiatives and site safety programs while gaining exposure to real-world industry practices. The role focuses on developing technical and analytical skills through documentation management and cross-functional collaboration.
What you'll do#
- Update facility line drawings, fire extinguisher maps, evacuation routes, severe weather maps, and emergency equipment locations.
- Assist with environmental compliance activities, including chemical inventories, waste inspections, spill-prevention readiness, and stormwater reviews.
- Manage EHS recordkeeping and ensure training materials align with current policies and procedures.
- Identify and document EHS improvement opportunities.
- Track corrective actions to completion or ownership assignment.
- Present a final summary of project outcomes and recommendations at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in a relevant discipline, such as Environmental Engineering.
- Anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort spending time on the production floor and engaging with plant operations.
- Authorization to work in the United States.

- Location: Wilmington, Ohio.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Full-time for 12 weeks during Summer 2027.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
- Requirements: Reliable transportation to and from the work location is required.
