About the role#
This is a 12-week paid engineering internship at our Cleburne, Texas manufacturing facility. You will work on-site to gain hands-on experience by learning production processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and collaborating with operators to enhance plant performance. This program focuses on applying your technical knowledge to drive efficiency and solve real-world operational problems.
What you'll do#
- Learn and document manufacturing processes, workflows, and quality standards.
- Engage with operators and cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities.
- Create process maps and workflows for assigned areas.
- Analyze production issues and recommend solutions to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and performance.
- Identify and develop at least two continuous improvement projects.
- Assist with project planning, tracking, and execution.
- Lead or support the execution of approved improvement projects.
- Present project results and recommendations to plant leadership.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering at an accredited university.
- Anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to work full-time for 12 weeks during the summer of 2027.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work location.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
