About the role#
This is a 12-week paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site to develop your maintenance engineering skills by completing a safety project from initial scoping through final presentation. You will collaborate with experienced professionals to improve equipment reliability and documentation.
What you'll do#
- Eliminate a safety hazard by designing and implementing engineering controls.
- Create and update CAD drawings for Grenzebach equipment.
- Develop standard operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, and maintenance documents.
- Prepare job plans and material lists for standard work orders.
- Convert preventive maintenance task plans into checklists.
- Clean and verify the bill of materials for a selected asset.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- An anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Full-time availability for 12 weeks during Summer 2027.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Reliable transportation to the work site.
- Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
- Technical writing ability to produce clear documentation.
- Proficiency in CAD software for equipment drawings.
- Strong attention to detail for data organization and parts verification.
