The Student Progress Lead manages the lifecycle health of tutoring students from onboarding through their test day. This role focuses on student engagement, progress tracking, and support rather than content delivery. You will oversee proactive interventions for a caseload of over 200 students while managing a Student Progress Ops direct report and coordinating with MCAT experts to resolve quality issues.
What you'll do#
- Monitor the active student dashboard daily to identify at-risk students and trigger interventions.
- Conduct proactive outreach to flagged students to address barriers, averaging 15–25 touchpoints per week.
- Manage tutor reassignments and escalate quality issues to Lead Tutors or Instructors.
- Oversee the development of the Student Progress Ops direct report, including the creation of SOPs and daily task reviews.
What you'll need#
- 3+ years of experience in customer success, student services, account management, or a comparable client-facing operations role.
- Ability to communicate with both authority and empathy to maintain student accountability.
- Proven track record of managing a large active caseload of 100+ students.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets and experience monitoring data dashboards.
- Systems-thinking skills to build checklists, identify patterns, and address process gaps.
- Academic background in Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or Human Resources.
Location & details#
- Location: Fully remote within the United States.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, with availability for student calls from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern and responsiveness to communications until 8:00 PM Eastern.
- Compensation: $50,000–$80,000 per year.
