About the role#
This is a part-time internship for the Fall 2026 semester. You will work on-site in South Gate, California, gaining hands-on experience in transportation management and logistics. This position is paid and requires 20-25 hours of work per week during the school semester.
What you'll do#
- Learn the basics of transportation management principles.
- Assist with daily operational tasks, including freight planning and asset utilization.
- Support safety management and Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance.
- Gain insight into industry trends and company initiatives regarding driver retention.
- Handle account-specific duties and other tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited institution.
- Preference for students at the Junior or Senior level.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and directives.
- Majors in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management are relevant to this role.
