About the role#
Ixonia Bank is hiring a Treasury Management Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position based in Ixonia or Milwaukee, Wisconsin. You will gain hands-on experience in how treasury management supports business financial activities.
What you'll do#
- Support the implementation of new treasury products and services.
- Shadow the Treasury Management Officer on sales calls and assist with annual customer reviews.
- Work with bank staff to identify sales opportunities, leads, and product upgrades.
- Assist in setting up new ACH customers and answering service-related questions.
- Collaborate with Business Bankers to manage client relationships and with Retail Bankers to document new commercial deposit accounts.
- Prepare fee analysis comparisons for prospective customers.
- Educate clients on cash management services, provide product demonstrations, and offer training.
- Follow up with customers after implementation to resolve issues.
- Represent the bank at community meetings and functions.
- Assist the Business Banking Head with third-party vendor management.
- Attend Commercial Lending and treasury meetings while adhering to regulatory compliance requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
- Strong knowledge of business and economic conditions.
- Ability to calculate costs based on activity levels, interest, and profitability.
- Understanding of bank statements and account analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong presentation abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and balance competing tasks.
- High level of responsiveness to both internal and external customers.
- Aptitude for problem-solving and making effective decisions.
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently or in a group setting.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
