About the role#
Ixonia Bank is hiring a Retail Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Ixonia, Wisconsin. The program offers hands-on experience in banking operations and customer service.
What you'll do#
You will manage daily retail banking tasks and assist customers directly. Your responsibilities include:
- Processing transactions, including checks, cash, and wire transfers.
- Managing your daily cash supply and balancing your drawer at the end of each shift.
- Opening and closing personal banking accounts.
- Helping customers with Online Banking issues and debit card security.
- Educating customers on fraud prevention and assisting those impacted by fraud.
- Promoting bank products and services based on customer needs.
- Handling building opening and closing duties.
What you'll need#
We are looking for students or recent graduates in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics. You should have:
- A working knowledge of banking products and services.
- An understanding of federal and state banking laws.
- Proficiency in basic arithmetic, including rates, ratios, and percentages.
- Basic computer skills and experience with banking systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to handle difficult customer situations with empathy.
- Reliable attendance and a professional approach to daily tasks.
