About the role#
Ixonia Bank is hiring a Commercial Banking Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship. You will work from our offices in either Ixonia or Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
What you'll do#
- Analyze financial statements by spreading data and preparing credit analyses.
- Gather financial statements, interpret data, verify collateral, and document your findings.
- Maintain commercial loan files and assist officers with loan preparation and documentation follow-up.
- Provide information and judgments regarding the creditworthiness of assigned accounts.
- Support lenders by performing market research, identifying potential clients, and joining initial prospect meetings.
- Prepare management reports and assist in other bank areas as needed.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Enrollment or plans to enroll in a commercial banking program or a related field like Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Strong writing and proofreading skills, along with clear communication and organizational abilities.
- An analytical mindset and an aptitude for working with databases.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to interact professionally with all levels of bank management and directors.
- Knowledge of federal and state banking laws and regulations.
- Previous knowledge of the banking industry is preferred but not required.
