About the role#
This is a Federal Work Study position based at the Muncie Arts and Culture Council. You will assist with the daily operations and community outreach efforts of the organization. This role is open to students currently enrolled at Ivy Tech who have been vetted through the Financial Aid process.
What you'll do#
- Manage board and committee tasks, including taking meeting notes and preparing presentations.
- Research and draft grant proposals.
- Help run programs like the Mayor’s Arts Awards, Artist Spotlight, and First Thursday.
- Conduct research and write content for communications.
- Handle administrative duties such as file management and building operations.
- Assist with public art initiatives, event tabling, and community outreach.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a student eligible for Federal Work Study.
- Strong interest in arts and culture.
- Previous office experience is preferred.
- Ability to undergo a criminal background check.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Muncie, Indiana.
- Work is primarily on-site, though remote work is permitted for specific projects.
- This is a paid, part-time position hired on a per-semester basis.
