About the role#
The Park Center for Independent Media (PCIM) at Ithaca College is hiring three Student Associates for the Fall 2026 semester. These positions offer hands-on experience in communications, programming, and outreach. You will work 8 to 10 hours per week and meet weekly with PCIM leadership to prioritize tasks and report progress.
What you'll do#
- Create and schedule social media content to increase visibility.
- Assist with event logistics and coordinate communications with partners.
- Write web content including articles, event blogs, and news updates.
- Promote PCIM events and initiatives to students and the broader community.
What you'll need#
- An interest in independent media and free press issues.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Confidence to take initiative, ask questions, and be resourceful.
- Majors in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Political Science, or History are preferred.

- This position is located on-site in Ithaca, New York.
