About the role#
This internship provides practical experience supporting business objectives within the regulatory department. You will work on assignments that help you understand the electric transmission industry and the regulatory issues that affect it.
What you'll do#
- Summarize filings from regulatory proceedings and orders from regulatory authorities.
- Research federal, state, and regional policies regarding the electric transmission industry.
- Support the regulatory team with advocacy efforts on transmission policy initiatives.
- Identify regulatory issues and learn about key company initiatives.
What you'll need#
- You must be entering your Sophomore, Junior, or Senior year at a 4-year college or university.
- Substantial coursework in political science, public policy, economics, accounting, finance, business, or engineering.
- An interest in public policy and utility industry regulation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
- A logical approach to problem solving and the ability to research and analyze information.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship located on-site in Novi, Michigan.
- The term is Summer 2027.
