About the role#
Ironmark Building Company is hiring an Assistant Superintendent Intern for Summer 2027. You will work on-site to support the project Superintendent with daily operations, safety, and documentation. This role provides direct exposure to commercial construction management, including estimating, submittals, and change management.
What you'll do#
- Assist with day-to-day management of project operations and personnel.
- Supervise on-site construction activities alongside the project Superintendent.
- Manage project schedules and coordinate various trades.
- Ensure all work meets safety standards, including OSHA regulations.
- Maintain daily work documentation and required project paperwork.
- Interface with contractors, vendors, and clients.
- Help with cost containment, risk management, and project scheduling.
- Assist with estimating, buyouts, and change management tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year Construction program.
- Basic knowledge of construction technology, equipment, and methods.
- Understanding of industry practices and standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to perform math calculations, including algebra and geometry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- A proactive, self-starting approach with a willingness to learn.
- Professional demeanor when interacting with co-workers and owners.
- Access to reliable transportation.

- Compensation: $18 to $22 per hour.
