About the role#
The Plant Services Work Study position supports the maintenance and cleanliness of campus buildings and grounds. You will help keep facilities sanitary and operational for students and staff. While your primary assignment involves campus-owned housing, your daily tasks may change based on current needs.
What you'll do#
- Prepare campus apartments after residents move out by cleaning, sanitizing, and moving furniture.
- Remove trash and unwanted items from living spaces.
- Perform general building cleaning such as vacuuming, dusting, and mopping.
- Handle basic maintenance tasks like replacing light bulbs and batteries or completing small repairs.
- Maintain grounds by mowing, trimming, weeding, and tending to landscaping.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- The ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong customer service skills when interacting with students, staff, and the public.
- Comfort working in an environment that requires shifting priorities.

- Location: Marshalltown, IA.
- Schedule: 4 hours per day.
- Pay: $9.00 per hour.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Term: Rolling.
