About the role#
The Student Supervisor guides student fundraisers, monitors outreach quality, and manages team morale during calling shifts. This role combines operational oversight with leadership to ensure effective alumni engagement and fundraising success.
What you'll do#
- Monitor live calls for quality, compliance, and effectiveness.
- Ensure accurate, real-time logging of call results, notes, and alumni updates.
- Oversee the pace, professionalism, and consistency of fundraising asks.
- Compile shift results into reports for the Assistant Director.
- Maintain dashboards to track goals and performance trends.
- Provide in-shift coaching on engagement, objection handling, and ask strategy.
- Support onboarding and training for new Student Engagement Specialists.
- Lead micro-training moments, fundraising competitions, and engagement games.
- Create morale-boosting elements to maintain an inclusive and energizing environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at Stony Brook University in good academic standing.
- Demonstrated success in alumni outreach and fundraising asks.
- Strong coaching ability with clear communication and a leadership presence.
- Comfort monitoring calls and delivering constructive feedback.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and maintain team morale.
- Detail-oriented approach with accountability for reporting and process execution.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

- Location: Stony Brook, New York.
- Compensation: $17.50 per hour.
- Type: Part-time, on-site, rolling term.
