About the role#
This internship provides an introduction to Invesco Real Estate and the application of data science within private real estate investment. You will work alongside experienced professionals to navigate data challenges, build models, and communicate insights to team members. This is a full-time, 9-week summer program starting in June 2027.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to extract value from data.
- Assist with data querying, wrangling, transformations, and feature discovery.
- Develop machine learning models for finance and real estate use cases.
- Create graphs, charts, and BI tools to display research findings.
- Use data to support investment strategy, including projects on macroeconomic assumptions, portfolio composition, and market convictions.
- Manage ad hoc analysis and longer-term project work.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in data analytics, data science, or a quantitative field.
- Rising junior status with a graduation date by summer 2028.
- Minimum GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
- Ability to create data-driven insights using an analytical programming language, with a strong preference for Python.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Interest in finance, economics, and capital markets.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Position is based at the Invesco office in Dallas, Texas.
- This is an on-site role requiring presence in the office.
- Compensation is $40 per hour.
