Student Internship Wisconsin Northeast Area (Undergraduate Ministries)

About the role#

This internship focuses on learning the fundamentals of college campus ministry. It is designed for students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college to develop leadership skills, grow in biblical knowledge, and discern a call to ministry service. Interns will work closely with a campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and support the spiritual growth of the campus community.

What you'll do#

• Participate in campus ministry team activities to cast spiritual vision and direction.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of initiatives focused on spiritual growth and transformation.
• Teach students how to love, study, and apply Scripture to their daily lives.
• Promote the mission on campus by seeking opportunities to proclaim and demonstrate the Gospel.
• Assist with reporting requirements and serve as an ambassador for InterVarsity to ministry partners and local churches.
• Engage with supervision and training provided by staff ministry trainers or directors.

What you'll need#

• Must be a follower of Jesus Christ and able to annually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Agreement.
• A developing passion for evangelism.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities including initiative, self-awareness, cultural awareness, and cross-cultural competence.
• Strong communication, professionalism, and teamwork skills.
• An eagerness to learn and the ability to demonstrate relational maturity.
• Eligibility: Second-year students and community college students may intern at two-year/community colleges. Third-year students and higher may work at four-year or community colleges. Non-InterVarsity students at Christian colleges must have third or fourth-year standing.

• Employment: Full-time (40 hours/week).
• Compensation: This is a paid position funded through personal fundraising. Salary is dependent on the individual's ability to secure a donor team to cover the costs of the position.
