Student Intern - West Michigan Area Team (Undergraduate Ministry)

About the role#

This internship provides an opportunity for students to learn the fundamentals of college campus ministry. Interns will develop their leadership skills, grow in biblical knowledge, and mature as disciples of Jesus Christ. This role is designed for students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college who wish to discern a call to ministry service.

What you'll do#

• Participate and engage fully with the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and direction.
• Contribute to the accomplishment of the ministry team’s plans for spiritual growth and transformation.
• Teach students to love, study, and apply Scripture to their lives.
• Promote the mission on campus by proclaiming the Gospel and modeling a love for diverse cultures and ethnicities.
• Encourage a prayerful lifestyle among students.
• Engage positively with the supervision and training provided by staff ministry trainers or directors.
• Serve as an ambassador of the organization to ministry partners and churches.

What you'll need#

• A follower of Jesus Christ who can annually affirm the Statement of Agreement.
• A developing passion for evangelism.
• Strong leadership qualities, including initiative, self-awareness, cultural awareness, and professionalism.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and demonstrate cross-cultural competence.
• Eagerness to learn and develop relational maturity.
• Preferred majors include Psychology, Communications, Political Science, Sociology, or Philosophy.

• Compensation: This is a paid position, funded through personal fundraising. Salary is dependent on the individual's ability to secure a donor team.
