Student Intern - University of North Dakota (Undergraduate Ministry)

About the role#

This internship provides an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of college campus ministry. Interns work to advance the mission of InterVarsity by developing spiritual leadership, biblical knowledge, and ministry skills. This role is designed for students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college, with specific standing requirements based on the institution type.

What you'll do#

• Participate in the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and direction.
• Contribute to the team’s plans for spiritual growth and transformation.
• Teach students to love, study, and apply Scripture to their lives.
• Promote the mission on campus by seeking opportunities to demonstrate the Gospel.
• Guide assigned segments of a chapter in strategic thinking regarding witness to the university.
• Model and assist students in growing in their love for people of every ethnicity and culture.
• Encourage a prayerful lifestyle among students.
• Engage positively with supervision and training provided by staff ministry directors.
• Serve as an ambassador of the ministry to individual partners and churches.

What you'll need#

• Must be a follower of Jesus Christ and annually affirm the InterVarsity Statement of Agreement.
• A developing passion for evangelism.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities, including initiative, self-awareness, cultural awareness, and relational maturity.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, professionalism, and an eagerness to learn.
• Cross-cultural competence.

• Locations: North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Michigan, and Wisconsin.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Employment Type: Part-time.
• Compensation: This is a paid position funded through personal fundraising; compensation varies based on the ability to secure a donor team.
