About the role#
This internship focuses on learning the fundamentals of college campus ministry. It is designed for students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college to develop their leadership skills, spiritual understanding, and ministry experience. Interns will work under the guidance of a staff ministry trainer or director to discern their call to ministry service.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the campus ministry team to help cast spiritual vision and direction.
- Contribute to team plans for spiritual growth and transformation.
- Teach students how to study, love, and apply Scripture to their daily lives.
- Promote the mission on campus by helping build witnessing communities that are ethnically diverse and bold.
- Engage in ongoing training and supervision with your assigned ministry director.
- Serve as an ambassador for the organization to ministry partners and local churches.
What you'll need#
- Be a follower of Jesus Christ and able to annually affirm the organization’s Statement of Agreement.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities including initiative, self-awareness, professional communication, and cross-cultural competence.
- Possess a developing passion for evangelism and an eagerness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and maintain relational maturity.
- Current enrollment in a four-year or community college (specific year-standing requirements apply based on institution type).
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position located in Tennessee and Kentucky.
- The role is part-time and operates on a rolling basis.
