Student Intern - South Texas Area (Undergraduate Ministry)

About the role#

This internship is designed for students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college to learn the fundamentals of campus ministry. The role focuses on developing leadership skills, spiritual understanding, and ministry experience while working under the guidance of a staff ministry trainer or director. This is a part-time, paid position based in Texas.

What you'll do#

• Participate and engage fully with the campus ministry team to support spiritual vision and strategic planning.
• Teach students how to study, love, and apply Scripture to their daily lives.
• Promote the organization's mission on campus by proclaiming the Gospel and fostering witness to the university.
• Encourage a prayerful lifestyle among students, with a specific focus on those who do not yet follow Jesus.
• Serve as an ambassador for the organization to ministry partners and local churches.
• Model and assist students in developing cross-cultural competence and a love for diverse communities.

What you'll need#

• Must be a follower of Jesus Christ and be willing to annually affirm the organization’s Statement of Agreement.
• A developing passion for evangelism and a desire to grow as a disciple.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities including initiative, self-awareness, professional communication, and teamwork.
• An eagerness to learn and develop in a ministry environment.
• Current enrollment in a college or university (specific year standing requirements apply based on institution type).
