About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of college campus ministry while supporting the mission of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. The position is designed for students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college who wish to develop their leadership skills and spiritual understanding. This is a part-time, paid position that requires the intern to raise a donor team to fund their salary.
What you'll do#
- Participate and engage fully with the campus ministry team to cast vision and support spiritual growth.
- Teach students how to love, study, and apply Scripture to their daily lives.
- Promote the mission on campus by seeking opportunities to proclaim the Gospel.
- Help guide chapters in developing strategic thinking regarding witness to the university.
- Encourage a prayerful lifestyle among students, particularly those who do not yet follow Jesus.
- Serve as an ambassador of InterVarsity to ministry partners and local churches.
- Engage with supervision and training provided by staff ministry trainers.
What you'll need#
- You are a follower of Jesus Christ and can annually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Agreement.
- You possess a developing passion for evangelism.
- You demonstrate leadership qualities, including initiative, self-awareness, cross-cultural competence, and relational maturity.
- You have an eagerness to learn and work well within a team.
- Relevant academic backgrounds include Human Resources, Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, and Communications.
