About the role#
This internship focuses on learning the fundamentals of college campus ministry. It is designed for students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college. Eligibility depends on your academic standing, with specific requirements for two-year versus four-year institutions. This is a part-time, on-site role based in Michigan.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the campus ministry team to help cast spiritual vision and direction.
- Contribute to team plans for spiritual growth and transformation.
- Teach students how to love, study, and apply Scripture to their daily lives.
- Promote the mission on campus by seeking opportunities to demonstrate the Gospel.
- Help guide chapters in developing strategic thinking regarding witness to the university.
- Model and assist students in growing in their love for God's people of every ethnicity and culture.
- Encourage a prayerful lifestyle among students, particularly those who do not yet follow Jesus.
- Engage with supervision and training provided by your staff ministry trainer or director.
- Assist with reporting and serve as an ambassador to ministry partners and churches.
What you'll need#
- You are a follower of Jesus Christ.
- You can annually affirm the InterVarsity Statement of Agreement.
- You possess a developing passion for evangelism.
- You demonstrate leadership qualities including initiative, self-awareness, cultural awareness, and professionalism.
- You have strong communication skills and an eagerness to learn.
- You demonstrate cross-cultural competence, teamwork, and relational maturity.

- Location: Michigan, United States.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Part-time with a rolling intake.
- Compensation: This is a paid position funded through personal fundraising. Your compensation will vary based on your ability to secure a donor team to fund the cost of your salary.
