About the role#
This internship focuses on learning the basics of college campus ministry. It is designed for students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college. You will develop your leadership skills, spiritual understanding, and ministry experience while discerning a potential call to service with InterVarsity.
What you'll do#
- Participate and engage fully with the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and direction.
- Contribute to the accomplishment of the campus ministry team’s plans for spiritual growth and transformation.
- Teach students to love, study, and apply Scripture to their lives.
- Promote the mission on campus to advance witnessing communities that are bolder, broader, and more ethnically diverse.
- Engage positively with the supervision and training you receive from your staff ministry trainer or director.
What you'll need#
- You are a follower of Jesus Christ and can annually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Agreement.
- You have a developing passion for evangelism.
- You demonstrate campus ministry leadership qualities, including initiative, self-awareness, and cultural awareness.
- You possess skills in communication, professionalism, teamwork, and relational maturity.
- You show an eagerness to learn and cross-cultural competence.
- Preferred majors include Communications, Psychology, Political Science, Human Resources, and Sociology.
