About the role#
This internship is designed for students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college to learn the fundamentals of campus ministry. Interns work alongside a campus ministry team to grow in spiritual understanding, biblical knowledge, and leadership skills while discerning a potential call to ministry service.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and direct ministry efforts.
- Contribute to the execution of plans focused on spiritual growth and transformation.
- Teach students how to study, love, and apply Scripture to their daily lives.
- Promote the organization's mission on campus by seeking opportunities to proclaim the Gospel.
- Guide chapter segments in strategic thinking regarding witness to the university.
- Model and assist students and faculty in developing a love for people of all ethnicities and cultures.
- Encourage a prayerful lifestyle among students.
- Engage actively with training and supervision provided by your staff ministry director.
- Assist with reporting and serve as an ambassador of the organization to ministry partners and churches.
What you'll need#
- You are a follower of Jesus Christ and can annually affirm the organization's Statement of Agreement.
- You are currently enrolled in a four-year or community college.
- You possess a developing passion for evangelism.
- You demonstrate leadership qualities including initiative, self-awareness, cultural competence, professionalism, and relational maturity.
- You have an eagerness to learn and work well within a team.
Location & details#
- Location: Metro Detroit and Flint Area, Michigan.
- Modality: On-site.
- Employment: Part-time, paid internship.
- Note: This position is funded through personal fundraising; compensation is dependent on the ability to secure a donor team.
