About the role#
This internship focuses on learning the fundamentals of college campus ministry. It is designed for students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college who wish to develop their leadership, biblical knowledge, and ministry skills. Interns work as part of a team to advance the mission of the organization while discerning their own call to ministry service.
What you'll do#
- Participate with the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and help execute plans for spiritual growth.
- Teach students how to study, love, and apply Scripture to their daily lives.
- Promote the mission on campus by finding opportunities to demonstrate and proclaim the Gospel.
- Encourage a prayerful lifestyle among students, with a specific focus on those who do not yet follow Jesus.
- Engage with supervision and training provided by staff ministry trainers.
- Serve as an ambassador to ministry partners and churches by discussing mission efforts and accomplishments.
What you'll need#
- You are a follower of Jesus Christ and can annually affirm the organization's Statement of Agreement.
- You have a developing passion for evangelism.
- You demonstrate leadership qualities such as initiative, self-awareness, cross-cultural competence, professionalism, and teamwork.
- You possess an eagerness to learn and strong communication skills.
- Preferred majors include Psychology, Communications, or Sociology.
Location & details#
- Location: South Dakota.
- Modality: On-site.
- This is a paid, part-time position with a rolling term. Compensation is funded through personal fundraising, and the actual salary is dependent on the individual's ability to secure a donor team.
