Student Intern - Lakes & Plains (Undergraduate Ministry)

About the role#

This internship is designed for students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college to learn the fundamentals of campus ministry. Interns work alongside staff to grow in spiritual understanding, biblical knowledge, and ministry leadership skills. This role involves participating in the daily operations of a campus ministry team while discerning a potential call to future ministry service.

What you'll do#

• Participate in the campus ministry team to help cast spiritual vision and achieve goals for growth.
• Teach students how to study, love, and apply Scripture to their daily lives.
• Promote the mission on campus by finding opportunities to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
• Encourage a prayerful lifestyle among students, with an emphasis on outreach to those who do not yet follow Jesus.
• Engage in supervision and training with staff ministry directors.
• Act as an ambassador for the ministry to churches and individual partners through prayer and discussion of ministry efforts.

What you'll need#

• Must be a follower of Jesus Christ and willing to annually affirm the organization's Statement of Agreement.
• A developing passion for evangelism.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities, including initiative, self-awareness, cultural competence, professionalism, and the ability to work well within a team.
• Current enrollment in a four-year or community college (specific year-standing requirements apply based on institution type).
• Students pursuing degrees in Psychology, Communications, or Sociology are encouraged to apply.

• Type: Part-time, paid position.
• Note: Compensation for this position is funded through personal fundraising. The actual salary received is dependent on the individual's ability to secure a donor team to cover the salary costs.
