About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to learn the foundations of college campus ministry. It is open to students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college. The role focuses on spiritual growth, biblical knowledge, and developing leadership skills within the context of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship.
What you'll do#
- Participate with the campus ministry team to cast vision and direction.
- Contribute to plans for spiritual growth and transformation.
- Teach students to study, love, and apply Scripture to their lives.
- Proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and assist students in developing strategic thinking for campus witness.
- Model and encourage a love for God's people across different ethnicities and cultures.
- Foster a prayerful lifestyle among students.
- Engage with training from staff ministry trainers and directors.
- Serve as an ambassador to ministry partners and churches.
What you'll need#
- You are a follower of Jesus Christ.
- You can annually affirm the InterVarsity Statement of Agreement.
- You have a developing passion for evangelism.
- You demonstrate leadership qualities such as initiative, self-awareness, communication, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Preferred majors include Communications, Psychology, or Sociology.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site, part-time position.
- Locations include Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska.
- This is a paid position funded through personal fundraising. Compensation depends on the individual's ability to secure a donor team to cover the salary range of $15.06 to $20.08 per hour.
- Benefits are available based on employee type and hours worked, including retirement plans, health insurance, and paid time off.
