About the role#
This internship focuses on learning the basics of college campus ministry. It is open to students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college. The position involves spiritual growth, biblical study, and gaining practical ministry experience. You will serve as an ambassador for the organization to ministry partners and churches.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and direction.
- Support the team in executing plans for spiritual growth and transformation.
- Teach students to love, study, and apply Scripture to their daily lives.
- Promote the mission on campus to build witnessing communities that are bolder, broader, and more ethnically diverse.
- Proclaim and demonstrate the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Model and assist students and faculty in growing their love for people of every culture and ethnicity.
- Engage with supervision and training provided by your staff ministry trainer or director.
- Assist with reporting and other administrative duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- You are a follower of Jesus Christ.
- You can annually affirm the organization's Statement of Agreement.
- You possess a developing passion for evangelism.
- You demonstrate leadership qualities including initiative, self-awareness, communication skills, professionalism, and teamwork.
- You show cultural competence and an eagerness to learn.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site, part-time position.
- Locations include campuses across Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska.
- This role is a paid position, though compensation is funded through personal fundraising. You will work with a donor team to secure funding for your salary.
