Student Intern - DePaul University (Undergraduate Ministry)

About the role#

This internship provides an opportunity for students to learn the fundamentals of college campus ministry at DePaul University. The role is designed to help interns grow in spiritual understanding, biblical knowledge, and leadership skills while discerning a potential call to ministry service. This position is open to students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college, with specific eligibility requirements based on academic standing.

What you'll do#

• Participate in the campus ministry team to help cast spiritual vision and direction.
• Contribute to the team's plans for spiritual growth and transformation.
• Teach students how to study, love, and apply Scripture to their daily lives.
• Promote the organization's mission on campus by working to build bolder, broader, and more ethnically diverse witnessing communities.
• Proclaim and demonstrate the Gospel of Jesus Christ and assist students in developing strategic thinking regarding witness to the university.
• Model and encourage a love for people of every ethnicity and culture.
• Engage with supervision and training provided by staff ministry directors.
• Serve as an ambassador for the ministry to individual partners and churches.

What you'll need#

• You are a follower of Jesus Christ and can annually affirm the organization's Statement of Agreement.
• A developing passion for evangelism.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities, including initiative, self-awareness, cultural awareness, and relational maturity.
• Strong communication skills and a high degree of professionalism.
• An eagerness to learn and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Preference for students pursuing degrees in Psychology, Communications, or Sociology.
