Student Intern - Colorado (Graduate and Faculty Ministry)

About the role#

This internship provides an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of college campus ministry. The role is designed for students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college who wish to grow in spiritual understanding, ministry skills, and leadership. This is a part-time, on-site position based in Colorado.

What you'll do#

• Participate and engage fully with the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and direction.
• Contribute to the accomplishment of the campus ministry team’s plans for spiritual growth and transformation.
• Teach students to love, study, and apply Scripture to their lives.
• Promote the mission on campus by proclaiming the Gospel and guiding chapters in strategic thinking.
• Model and assist students and faculty in growing in their love for people of every ethnicity and culture.
• Encourage a prayerful lifestyle among students.
• Engage positively with the supervision and training provided by staff ministry trainers or directors.
• Serve as an ambassador to ministry partners and churches.

What you'll need#

• You are a follower of Jesus Christ and are able to annually affirm the InterVarsity Statement of Agreement.
• A developing passion for evangelism.
• Strong leadership qualities including initiative, self-awareness, cultural awareness, professionalism, and cross-cultural competence.
• Excellent communication skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work well within a team.
• Current enrollment in a college or university. (Second-year students and community college students may intern at two-year institutions; third-year students and higher may work at four-year or community colleges.)
