About the role#
This internship focuses on learning the fundamentals of college campus ministry. It is designed for students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college who wish to develop their leadership skills, spiritual understanding, and ministry experience. Interns work alongside a campus ministry team to support spiritual growth and transformation within the campus community.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the campus ministry team to help cast spiritual vision and achieve ministry goals.
- Teach students how to study, love, and apply Scripture to their daily lives.
- Promote the mission on campus by helping to build witnessing communities that are ethnically diverse and bold.
- Guide chapters in strategic thinking regarding witness to the university.
- Encourage a prayerful lifestyle among students, particularly those who do not yet follow Jesus.
- Serve as an ambassador for the organization to churches and ministry partners by discussing mission efforts and accomplishments.
- Engage with supervision and training provided by staff ministry trainers.
What you'll need#
- You are a follower of Jesus Christ and can annually affirm the Statement of Agreement.
- You have a developing passion for evangelism.
- You demonstrate leadership qualities including initiative, self-awareness, professionalism, and cross-cultural competence.
- You show an eagerness to learn and the ability to work well within a team.
- Eligibility requirements: Second-year students and community college students may intern at a two-year or community college. Third-year students and higher may work at a four-year or community college. Non-InterVarsity students attending a Christian college must have third or fourth-year standing.

- Locations: Wisconsin, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Minnesota.

- Note: This position is funded through personal fundraising. Compensation depends on the individual's ability to secure a donor team to cover the salary.
