About the role#
The Economic Empowerment Intern will support humanitarian programming in Louisville. This role involves assisting with economic empowerment initiatives and providing direct support to clients as they access services. Interns will work closely with the team to contribute to ongoing projects while gaining insight into resettlement services and organizational operations. This is an unpaid internship opportunity.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the daily operations of economic empowerment programs.
- Provide direct support to clients accessing essential services.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all client information and records.
- Participate in required training sessions to understand program requirements and service agreements.
- Collaborate with team members on various projects to support client needs.
- Perform data entry tasks using Microsoft Excel and other software as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student, or graduation within the last 12 months.
- Citizenship in the United States or active, compliant work authorization status.
- Ability to handle sensitive client information with high levels of confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a willingness to learn new data entry software.
- Strong intercultural communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Previous experience working with vulnerable populations is preferred but not required.
- Candidates pursuing studies in Business Administration, Psychology, Sociology, Public Health, or Human Resources are encouraged to apply.

- Availability: Applicants should be available during business hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Mileage reimbursement is provided for personal vehicle usage during client services.
