About the role#
Interfor is hiring a Maintenance Intern for a summer 2027 position in Perry, Georgia. This is a full-time, on-site role that offers hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. You will work alongside maintenance and operations professionals to solve real-world problems. The internship is paid, with a monthly salary starting at $3,700 depending on your year in school and experience. A temporary living allowance is provided for those moving to the area.
What you'll do#
- Learn how industrial maintenance supports safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
- Contribute to projects focused on equipment reliability, process improvement, and operational performance.
- Work with experienced staff to solve maintenance challenges.
- Build technical and analytical skills through exposure to modern sawmill operations.
What you'll need#
- You are working toward a degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related forestry program.
- You are comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- You communicate clearly and enjoy collaborating with team members.
- You are interested in hands-on work in an industrial setting.
- You are committed to maintaining a safe work environment.
