About the role#
Interfor is hiring a Forestry Intern to work on-site in Chase, British Columbia. This full-time position runs for a 4 to 8 month term, starting in May 2027. You will work directly with experienced professionals to gain practical experience in woodlands operations, planning, and forest management.
What you'll do#
- Gain hands-on exposure to forestry operations and sustainable forest management.
- Visit active worksites to observe how forests are planned, harvested, and regenerated.
- Use industry tools and technology, such as GPS and mapping software.
- Support projects that contribute to safe, efficient, and responsible operations.
- Learn from professionals while building skills for your future career.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a forestry-related post-secondary degree or diploma program, such as Forestry, Natural Resources, Environmental Sciences, or Conservation.
- A basic understanding of safety rules and regulations.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in challenging weather and terrain conditions.
- A valid driver’s license.

- Location: Chase, BC, Canada.
- Term: Summer 2027 and Fall 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Starting from $3,350 per month, based on your year in school.
- Additional Support: A temporary living allowance is available for interns relocating to the area.
- Requirements: Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment drug test and background check.
