About the role#
Interfor is hiring a Maintenance Intern to work on-site at our facility in Chase, British Columbia. This is a full-time, paid summer internship for 2027. You will work directly with maintenance and operations teams to gain practical experience in the wood products industry. We provide a monthly salary starting at $3,350 and a temporary living allowance for those relocating for the position.
What you'll do#
- Gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Work on projects related to equipment reliability, process improvement, and operational performance.
- Collaborate with experienced professionals to solve real-world maintenance challenges.
- Learn how industrial maintenance supports safe and efficient sawmill operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree or diploma program related to forestry, supply chain, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or industrial engineering.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- An interest in hands-on industrial work and clear communication skills.
