About the role#
Interfor is hiring a Maintenance Intern for a summer 2027 term. This is an on-site, full-time position based in Chase, British Columbia. You will work alongside experienced maintenance and operations professionals to solve real-world challenges in a manufacturing environment. This role offers competitive compensation starting at $3,350 per month, with a temporary living allowance available for those moving to the area.
What you'll do#
- Gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Contribute to projects focused on equipment reliability, process improvement, and operational performance.
- Learn how industrial maintenance supports safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
- Build technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills while gaining exposure to modern sawmill operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree or diploma program related to forestry, supply chain, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or industrial engineering.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with team members and other departments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Interest in hands-on work within an industrial setting.
