About the role#
Inteplast Group offers a work program for students interested in plastics manufacturing. This on-site role focuses on the identification, packing, and labeling of slit rolls based on customer specifications. You will work within the slitting department to support production goals while gaining hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Read and verify customer requirements by reviewing setup and exception codes.
- Assist with staging and use correct packing supplies, including banding finished products.
- Enter data into computers at packing and stretch-wrapping stations.
- Print labels and verify roll width and data for finished rolls.
- Weigh finished pallets and apply labels after verifying data.
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
- Interact with packers, supervisors, and technicians to support department functions.
- Report food safety issues and follow all SQF procedures.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member.
- Dependable attendance and a willingness to work non-standard hours.
- Ability to manage workplace interactions and job-related stress.

- Location: Talbott, Tennessee.
- Term: Rolling.
- Schedule: Full-time.
- This position is paid.
- Note: Interns under eighteen are not permitted to operate motorized equipment, including forklifts, cranes, or slitting machines.
- Work environment: You will work in a manufacturing setting, both indoors and outdoors. You may be exposed to extreme temperatures below 32 degrees or above 100 degrees, as well as high noise levels.
