About the role#
This student work program supports the slitting department at Inteplast Group. You will help identify slit rolls and ensure they are packed and labeled to meet specific customer requirements. Please note that interns under the age of 18 are not permitted to operate motorized equipment, including forklifts, cranes, slitting machines, or conveyors.
What you'll do#
- Read and verify customer requirements by checking setup and exception codes.
- Assist with staging packing supplies and banding finished products.
- Enter data into computer systems at packing and stretch-wrapping stations.
- Print labels and verify roll width and data for finished rolls.
- Weigh finished pallets and apply accurate labels.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Communicate with team members, lead technicians, and supervisors.
- Assist with various functions across the slitting department.
- Comply with all SQF procedures and report food safety issues to management.

- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Dependable attendance and willingness to work non-standard hours.
- Ability to manage job-related stress and maintain positive workplace interactions.
Location & details#
- Location: Talbott, Tennessee.
- Work modality: On-site.
- This is a full-time, paid position with a rolling term.
- You will work in a manufacturing environment that includes both indoor and outdoor settings. Be prepared for exposure to extreme temperatures, ranging from below 32 degrees to above 100 degrees, as well as high noise levels.
